intercalations 5 – Decapitated Economies, the print edition of the fifth (and somehow still also the last) volume of the six-part series intercalations: paginated exhibition series has arrived at the studio. Together, the whole series amounts to 1,922 pages—gathering and presenting unique pieces, which not only intercalate and resonate in exciting ways within the various publications, but also—especially—across all of the volumes.
The PDF has been freely available since December, but it is much, much, much more interesting to hold the actual book in hand: remarkable how different and wholesome it is to open it in nonlinear ways, encountering ever variegated correlations between the various materials, stories, perspectives, and narratives. And it's so beautiful to have all the other volumes right alongside, noticing how things spill, interweave, echo, stretch, complicate, emphasize, question, reiterate.
