8, 15, 29 June 2025 - Consider Listening: K. Verlag Sunday events at haubrok foundation

Since early April, the haubrok foundation—where our studio is located—has been hosting a weekly series of Sunday events. We’re excited to join this evolving program with contributions from three artists whose publications have recently appeared in our program.

On Sunday, 8 June, 16:00, Jan St. Werner, will present Vibraception: Investigations in Wavespace, a newly released book that extends his recent exhibition at MSU Zagreb. Vibraception brings together experimental and theoretical approaches to understanding space as shaped by vibratory forces. Conceived as a companion to a series of sound interventions realized in and around the Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb from September 2024 to April 2025, the book documents and expands upon these sonic investigations, culminating in a site-responsive exhibition. On Sunday, 15 June, 16:00, Berlin-based artist Bethan Hughes will perform a live lecture based on her new book Elastic Continuum, published in conjunction with this piece. Her work explores the strange entanglements of rubber, trade, biotechnology, and the body—through installation, sculpture, and sound. This presentation also coincides with the final afternoon of Miss Read 2025 at HKW, where we hope to see many of you before or after.

Later in the month, on Sunday, 29 June, 15:00, Michael Schäfer will discuss his new book Invasive Links in conversation with a guest interlocutor (tba). Schäfer’s digital image collages—composed of his own photography and found media imagery—probe the visual grammars of our information-saturated present, bringing into view the political charge of framing, repetition, and attention economies.
