K. book table & outdoor screening of Assaf Gruber’s Match Point, 15 September at our studio compound

As part of Berlin Art Week, FAHRBEREITSCHAFT—our studio compound in Berlin-Lichtenberg—presents Another Sunday Afternoon: a day full of art, music, and conversation. With contributions from creative practitioners based on-site, the festival program will showcase the diverse artistic uses of the grounds to the public. Alongside concerts and performances, visitors will also have the opportunity to explore two newly opened exhibitions by the haubrok foundation: all my colours, a solo show featuring the work of David Zink Yi, and the day before sewn into sleep, in which works from “arrange whatever pieces come your way” and Martin Boyce are interwoven.

We are pleased to kick off this program by presenting Match Point (2006), an early short film by our dear friend Assaf Gruber, an artist and forthcoming K. author. Assaf is a sculptor and filmmaker whose practice focuses on the relationships between individuals and institutions, exploring the motivations of his protagonists and the establishments within which they operate. Match Point will be shown on a loop in the outdoor cinema from 2:30 to 4 pm. Else, we'll have a book table with special offers as well.

Later in the day, Sun-Young Nam and Paul Hübner, members of the collective mam.manufaktur für aktuelle musik, will present resonances, performing music by American composer Alvin Lucier in various spaces at FAHRBEREITSCHAFT. Lucier’s work explores the nature of sound and acoustics, encouraging listeners to experience sound as dynamic elements of everyday life. Additionally, Nam and Hübner will showcase music by Arne Gieshoff, performed for the first time.

Following this, Ilit Azoulay will host an exclusive studio visit (registration now closed), offering insights into her creative process and her new publication, Facts and Tales, Truth Be Told, which examines the interplay between knowledge, possession, and narrative, promoting a deeper understanding of human experience.
